CloudTrucks allows Virtual Carrier Owner-Operators to drive with trucks that are at most 10 years old and trailers that are at most 14 years old.
During Onboarding
During onboarding, we will ask you for a clean DOT inspection from the last 90 days for your truck (and your trailer if you are bringing your own.)
If you are bringing your own trailer onboard, it will also require a full DOT inspection like the truck within 90 days. In addition, if your trailer is 10-14 years old, our Safety team will ask for you to provide multiple pictures of the inside and out. Click here to learn about equipment qualification guidelines at CloudTrucks. For Flatbed, you must be approved by our Safety team.
Where to get a DOT inspection on your truck and trailer (before you start)
Before you start, you must provide a Clean DOT inspection dated within the past 90 days and your truck and trailer (if you're using your own) should have stickers from this clean inspection.
When you need to obtain a new DOT inspection visit a Love's, TA, Pilot or certified dealership like Penske, Volvo, Freightliner. This must be a full annual level DOT inspection.
