If you plan on bringing on your own truck or trailer to CloudTrucks or you plan on getting one through a third-party partner, please make sure your equipment meets the following criteria to be able to lease onto our authority:
Trucks
Your truck must be 10 years old or newer, confirmed by a DOT inspection within the last 90 days.
A DOT Inspection can be done at a Love's, TA, scale, or any place that offers DOT Level 1 Inspections. Drivers can just ask for a "Full DOT Inspection for Carrier".
Trailers
Your trailer must be 14 years old or newer, confirmed by a DOT inspection within the last 90 days. CloudTrucks will ask you for the following documents related to your trailer:
- Recent full DOT inspection (within the last 90 days)
- Physical damage insurance
- Registration
- Multiple pictures of the inside and outside showing condition (if your trailer is 10-14 years old)
Dry van
If you plan on bringing on your own trailer to CT we will need to verify your annual DOT inspection. Please make sure you have stickers on your trailer from having a Clean Inspection.
Flatbed
To be approved to pull a flatbed trailer, you must have 2 years of FMCSA verifiable experience, and the trailer you bring on or lease must be a standard flatbed - no step deck or anything specialized. Typically standard flatbed is 48' but they can get as big as 53'
Our insurance allows CloudTrucks drivers to only haul basic items in flatbeds. This means we can't do coils, oversize or special loads.
