In the process of booking loads found externally, you will sometimes find an unfamiliar brokerage, and wonder whether they are already in CloudTrucks system, or if perhaps the broker was previously in our system but does not currently work with CloudTrucks.
Using the technique in this article will give you insight on the broker's status, and will save you time and give you confidence before you reach out to bid on the load. For more information on handling broker rejections, go here.
Here is how to verify the broker’s status with CloudTrucks, and if they are already approved and/or active with us:
- First, watch this 3 minute Video explanation here
- Obtain the broker’s MC# (ask them or Google search online for it)
- In the CT app, tap the Truck icon on the bottom.
- Tap blue “Add Load” button on bottom right and then blue “Continue” button on next screen.
- Type in the MC#.
- If broker is already in system, you’ll either find 1 or 2 green checks.
- 2 green checks , one on the left with the broker name and one on the right by the MC# means everything is good to go and you can proceed with booking.
- 1 green check (just by the MC number on right) means we are set up to work with them, but there are issues with working with this broker. They may not work with CT currently (a DNU), or we may not work with them due to issues like poor credit.
- If broker is not in CT’s system, tap “Add Broker” and type in the Broker’s name and MC number. Our operations team will review their qualifications before approving the load.
- Ask broker to provide their carrier packet to rates@cloudtrucks.com. If you would like to expedite handling of this request:
- Follow up after the email is sent by calling the general support team at 415-480-2336 to notify them that an incoming carrier packet needs to be completed promptly and is in the rates@ inbox. If no one is available to take your call, send a text message with the same message.
