By looking for loads on boards external to the CloudTrucks app, or through your own business network, you may stumble upon potential new business. If so, congratulations! If you want to check if a broker or shipper is already approved to work with CloudTrucks, review this help center article on how to check this yourself.
Also, learn more about our requirements for approving new brokers here.
NEW BROKER ASSESSMENT PROCESS
If you find a broker who is not in our system at all, ask them for their carrier packet.
Email this to rates@cloudtrucks.com, and then follow up by calling the general support team to notify them that an incoming carrier packet needs to be completed promptly and is in the rates@ inbox. If no one is available to take your call, send a text message with the same message.
The vetting and approval process can take 1-3 business days.
If you need further assistance or support with the process, please contact your assigned business consultant from the customer success team for training and support. If you aren’t sure of their contact info, leave a message with the general support team and they will forward the message to the right person. Go here for our department contact list.
NEW SHIPPER ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Congratulations on finding a potential shipper to work with directly! CloudTrucks encourages drivers to create new business relationships, as approved shippers often become fantastic, reliable partners.
Your Steps:
-
Payment Terms: Ask the shipper if they agree to Net 15 payment terms. If not, do not proceed.
-
EIN Request: If they agree, request the shipper's EIN.
-
Email Submission: Once obtained, email the following information to rates@cloudtrucks.com:
-
Shipper's business details and contact information, including their EIN
-
Your interest in having them assessed and approved
-
Specific lane(s) of interest
-
Frequency of expected load runs
-
Urgent Situations: If urgent, follow up by calling the general support team to notify them that a new shipper EIN has been emailed for prompt review. If no one is available, send a text message with the same information.
Operations' Assessment Process: The assessment and approval process by Operations takes 2-3 business days. This process involves verifying load documentation in lieu of the typical "rate confirmations" sent to rates@cloudtrucks.com.
That's it! If you need further assistance or support with the process, please contact your assigned business consultant from the customer success team for training and support. If you aren’t sure of their contact info, leave a message with the general support team and they will forward the message to the right person. Go here for our department contact list.
