Is there an additional fee for the dispatch service?
Yes, in addition to the standard Virtual Carrier fee of 18%, there's a small 3% fee for dispatch services.This service is designed to help you secure better loads and take the hassle out of planning your routes.
How will my dispatcher help me earn more?
Your dedicated dispatcher will work with you to find higher-paying loads and create a schedule that increases your take-home pay. They’ll also help you stay organized by booking loads up to a week in advance, giving you the freedom to focus on driving while they handle the logistics.
Will I be sent to places I don’t want to go?
Your dispatcher will book loads based on your regional and route preferences. However, availability and market conditions may require some flexibility. We’ll work closely with you to ensure that any changes align with your overall goals, and you’re never forced to take a load you’re uncomfortable with.
Can I still see available loads on the loadboard?
Absolutely! You’ll maintain full access to the loadboard, allowing you to view available loads and stay informed about your options at all times.
Can I book my own loads or do I have to use a dispatch service?
The dispatch service is included as part of the lease-to-own program to ensure you have expert support in booking the best loads. While the service is required, your dispatcher will work closely with you to accommodate your preferences, making sure the loads and routes align with your goals.
Will I need a trailer for this program?
Yes, a dry van trailer is required. Once you’re activated, your onboarding specialist will help you select a dry van trailer and our trailers team will locate the nearest yard for you to pick it up. Your dispatcher will then work with you to book your first load, getting you on the road as soon as possible.
Is my dispatcher available 24/7?
While your dispatcher will be available during their working hours to book loads and assist with planning, you’ll also have access to our 24/7 operations support team and your customer success manager for any urgent issues or questions outside of those hours.
How will my dispatcher know my preferred routes?
Before your first load, you’ll fill out a detailed questionnaire about your preferences and routes. Your dispatcher will use this information to tailor their booking strategy to match your needs, while also taking into consideration current market conditions to ensure the best opportunities are available to you.
