To help you avoid unnecessary toll violations that may occur if your trailer is not registered correctly on your truck's toll transponder. Below is a simple guide to ensure your transponder settings are accurate and up to date.

Why Adding Your CT Trailer Is Important

Most toll systems calculate fees based on the number of axles and vehicle weight. If the toll authority doesn't detect your trailer because it isn’t linked to your transponder, you may receive a violation or an incorrect toll fee. Ensuring your trailer is registered prevents fines and delays.

Steps to Add Your Trailer to Your Transponder

Follow these steps for common toll systems like E-ZPass, PrePass, or SunPass:

1. Log in to Your Toll Account
   1. Visit your toll provider’s website or mobile app.
   2. Use your account credentials to sign in.
2. Update Vehicle Information
   1. Navigate to the section for Vehicle Management or Transponder Settings.
   2. Locate your truck’s registered details.
3. Add Trailer Information
   1. Select the option to add a trailer or modify your vehicle configuration.
