Business Insights is a dashboard within the CloudTrucks app that helps you understand your trucking business’s financial health, through your weekly and monthly cashflows.
How to find Business Insights in the CloudTrucks app
On the homepage of the CloudTrucks mobile app, tap ‘Weekly revenue’ near the top of the screen, or tap the chart icon in the bottom right corner.
How to see weekly or monthly insights
To toggle between weekly and monthly, tap the ‘Week’ or ‘Month’ button, which you’ll find on the right side of the screen.
Understanding your Business Insights
- Revenue ranking: This shows how your gross revenue over the past 2 weeks stacks up against other CloudTrucks drivers. A low revenue ranking can be a sign that you might be missing out on opportunities to earn more. If your revenue ranking is low, schedule a call with your Business Consultant on the customer success team to discuss how we can help increase your earnings. If you aren’t sure how to schedule your consultation, just reach out to our general support team.
- Gross revenue: This is the total amount your loads paid over the course of the week or month, before any deductions and expenses are taken out. If you’ve set a weekly goal for yourself, you can see how you’re tracking against that goal. (To set a weekly goal, tap the three dots next to ‘See details,’ then tap ‘Change weekly goal.)
- Expenses: This includes your deductions (like CloudTrucks’ service fee, your cargo & liability insurance, plates and ELD rental fees, etc.) and expenses you’ve entered in the CloudTrucks app, like fuel, food, and other costs.
- Net revenue: This is your take-home earnings after expenses. In other words, this shows your gross revenue minus your expenses.
For a more granular, itemized view of your revenue and expenses, tap ‘See details.’ You can also tap ‘Deductions’ to view details about the deductions included in your weekly expenses.
Understanding trends in your revenue
Tap the three dots next to ‘See details,’ then tap ‘See performance trends.’ From here, you can see your gross revenue over the past month, three months, six months, or year. To see trends in your revenue per loaded mile, tap the down arrow next to ‘Gross revenue’ and select ‘Revenue per loaded mile.’
