How to use CloudTrucks Contractor Payroll

Contractor payroll allows fleet admins to pay business contractors and owner operators directly though CloudTrucks.

How to pay a contractor using CloudTrucks Contractor Payroll

1. Go to your 'Contractor payroll' hub from the left hand side nav and click 'Pay' on the top right 

2. Choose the contractors you'd like to pay 

3. Select how you'd like to pay each driver. You can choose from:

• Line haul percentage 
• Rate per mile 
• Custom flat rate 

4. Add any deductions or payment items by clicking '+ Add item'. We offer a number of options to choose from in the drop downs, but you can always select 'Other' if yours is not listed. Click 'Continue' when you're ready. 

5. Confirm your payment. Make sure all the information is correct on this page, choose the payment speed and check your payment method.

We offer two payment speeds:

• Instant payment for a 2% fee 
• 2-4 business days for free 

And two payment methods:

• Your connected bank account
• Your CT Cash balance

6. Once you click 'Submit' you'll see the pending transactions show up on your contractor payroll dashboard under the 'Payments' tab. From there you can expand to see details and estimated arrival date. 

What payment speeds are available? 

We offer two payment speeds:

• ACH transfer that settles in 2-4 business days for free 
  • The speed varies depending on the source account. Accounts automatically linked with Plaid are eligible for T+2 speeds. 
• Instant pay that settles in < 30 mins (typically within just a few minutes) for a 2% fee

What is the instant transfer limit? 

All teams have a $2k instant transfer limit to protect against fraud. If you need to increase your transfer limit, please reach out to [e-mail]. 

How can a fleet admin view their fleet's payment history? 

A fleet admin can view the payment history for their whole fleet from the Contractor Payroll tab in the CloudTrucks web app, under the 'Payments' tab.

Click the 'Filter' button to filter by a specific contractor or by a time range. 

How can a contractor view their payment history?

A contractor can view the payment history for themselves from the Contractor Payroll tab on the CloudTrucks web app. They can expand the line items to see a breakdown of each payment.
