CT Fuel is designed to help drivers manage on-the-road expenses, offering interest-free credit you can use for fuel, parking, tolls, and more. You can also access exclusive discounts through CloudTrucks’ fuel partners — starting with Pilot, Love's, TA Petro, and more coming soon.
When you use CT Fuel, your fuel purchases are automatically recorded for IFTA reporting.
You can use CT Fuel for any service station, fuel dispenser, digital fuel platform, toll, or truck parking lot where Visa is accepted.
Signing up for CT Fuel
All CloudTrucks fleets are eligible for CT Fuel, and there are no application fees. Sign up at https://app.cloudtrucks.com/onboarding/fuel-card/. You’ll be prompted to:
- Sign up with our financial partner, Stripe, and Cross River Bank
- Confirm your bank account
- Accept documentation (Terms of Service, Cardholder Agreement, etc.)
- Confirm card shipping and billing address(es)
You’ll be able to use your virtual card immediately. Your physical card will arrive in 3-7 business days. After you receive it, unlock it in the CloudTrucks app by entering the last 4 digits of your card number and the expiration date.
Note: If your fleet currently has Pickup Pay, once you open your CT Fuel account, Pickup Pay will be limited to 15% of the job amount for Virtual Carrier drivers and removed for Road to Independence drivers.
Fuel discounts with FuelApp
CloudTrucks offers discounts at major truck stop networks through FuelApp. Use your CT Fuel card as your payment method in FuelApp to purchase discounted fuel with your line of credit. Learn more about FuelApp here.
What you can buy with CT Fuel
You can use your CT Fuel card (physical or virtual) at any service station, fuel dispenser, digital fuel platform, toll, or truck parking lot where Visa is accepted. However, you can only purchase eligible items:
- Fuel
- DEF
- Service station shower
- Service station parking
- Tolls
Additional items — like snacks purchased at the register, ATM cash withdrawals, or restaurant meals — cannot be charged to CT Fuel.
Credit limits
Your fleet’s credit limit will be based on your team’s weekly earnings and resets every 8 weeks based on your team’s average weekly revenue.
| Credit limit | Average weekly revenue |
| $1,000 | No minimum |
| $1,500 | $3,000.00-$3,999.99 |
| $2,000 | $4000+ |
| $50 | If your team has a history of credit disputes or payment plans with CT |
You can see your approved credit limit in the CloudTrucks app. You’ll be notified of any credit changes via email within 5 business days.
If you believe that your limit is insufficient, reach out to fuelcardsupport@cloudtrucks.com. Please note that unless your team has increased your weekly earnings and/or mileage, you will not receive a credit limit increase.
Payments
If you have a balance on your CT Fuel card, we will collect up to 35% of your job payouts as payment towards your CT Fuel balance. If there is any remaining balance when the Statement Period ends, we will withdraw the remaining balance from your CT Cash account. If there isn’t enough in your CT Cash account to cover your CT Fuel balance, we will withdraw from your linked bank account via ACH to pay it off.
You can also pay off your card at any time by initiating a payment from your CT Cash balance or bank account. (Note: Funds transferred from your bank account can take up to 3 days to settle. During this time, payment will show as “pending.” CloudTrucks will not collect from job payouts while payment is pending unless the current balance exceeds the pending payment.)
Example 1: Full collection
- Team books a $1,000 load
- Team fills up totaling $300
- Load delivers
- $300 is deducted from the $1,000 payout
- Current CT Fuel balance = $0
Example 2: Partial collection
- Team books a $1,000 load
- Team fills up totaling $600
- Load delivers
- $350 is deducted from the $1,000 payout (The 35% maximum would be $350 for this $1,000 load even though $600 was purchased.)
-
Current CT Fuel balance = $250 (This balance will be collected from future jobs, or at the end of the Statement Period via an automated payment.)

Fees
There are no card issuing fees, sign up fees, monthly fees, or annual fees for CT Fuel.
There are late fees: 2.5% of your overdue balance.
For example, if the original statement is $200, but only $150 was paid, the overdue balance is $50. The late fee would be $1.25 (2.5% of $50).
There is a 4 day (Thursday-Sunday) grace period where you can still pay your balance after the due date without incurring late fees. In other words, as long as the balance is paid before the next statement is generated, you will not be charged a late fee.
Tip: Keep funds in your CT Cash balance to avoid late fees. We recommend keeping the same amount as your fuel credit limit in your CT Cash balance to ensure any transactions not covered by job payouts can be covered by CT Cash autopayments. For example, if your credit limit is $1,000, keep $1,000 in your CT Cash balance.
In certain scenarios, such as medical emergencies, expensive breakdowns, or military service we may grant waivers for late fees. Disputes can be filed by emailing fuelcardsupport@cloudtrucks.com. Late fee waivers are granted at CloudTrucks' sole discretion. Late fees cannot be waived after they are paid.
Adding cardholders
If you are an admin, you can add drivers in your fleet as cardholders. You can also set a weekly limit on their card.
- Go to the CT Cash page in the CloudTrucks mobile app
- Click ‘More options,’ ‘Manage card,’ then ‘Add cardholder’
- Select whether you want to issue a CT Fuel or CT Cash card
- Set a weekly limit, or allow your cardholder to spend up to your credit limit
- Enter shipping details
- Your cardholder can now use their virtual card while the physical card is on its way
