Is Dispatch Assistant replacing the regular load search?
No. Dispatch Assistant is an additional feature to make finding loads more efficient. You can continue using the regular load search exactly as you always have. Think of it as having a trusted partner to help you spot great opportunities.
Do I need to pay extra to use Dispatch Assistant?
No. Dispatch Assistant is included in your CloudTrucks platform at no additional cost.
Using Dispatch Assistant
How do I start using Dispatch Assistant?
Open the CloudTrucks app, and you’ll see the Dispatch Assistant feature. It automatically displays load recommendations based on your current location or delivery destination if you’re already on an active load.
How does the Navigate to Destination feature work?
The Navigate to Destination feature lets you plan trips to specific locations by a certain date:
- Tap the Edit icon next to “Top Delivery Locations” near the top of the Dispatch Assistant
- Choose your destination city and target arrival date (7-21 days out)
- Dispatch Assistant will then recommend you one load at a time to get you there while maximizing your earnings
How does Dispatch Assistant decide what loads to recommend?
Dispatch Assistant considers several factors, including:
- Your current location or delivery destination
- Available loads in the system
- Potential earnings for each load
- Load booking trends and market conditions
- The destination’s quality for finding your next load
Can I still negotiate rates on loads recommended by Dispatch Assistant?
Yes! Dispatch Assistant helps you find profitable loads faster, but all regular booking and negotiation features remain available.
Load Recommendations
What if I don’t like the loads Dispatch Assistant suggests?
You can swipe through different load options or tap "Find More Loads" to see additional recommendations. You’re never locked into the suggested loads.
How accurate are the earnings estimates?
Earnings estimates are based on current market data and actual load rates. However, these are estimates, and your actual earnings may vary depending on specific circumstances and negotiations.
Can Dispatch Assistant find loads going to my home location?
Yes. The Navigate to Destination feature is perfect for planning trips home. Simply set your home city as the destination and your target date, and Dispatch Assistant will find the most profitable sequence of loads to get you there on time.
How far in advance can I plan with Navigate to Destination?
You can plan trips 7-21 days in advance. This timeframe provides the best balance between planning ahead and maintaining accurate load and trip planning.
What happens if my destination plan becomes impossible to achieve?
If your destination can no longer be reached within the specified timeframe (due to delays or other factors), the system will automatically clear your parameters and notify you so you can create a new plan.
Can I change my destination mid-trip?
Yes, you can clear your existing destination and set a new one at any time. Dispatch Assistant will recalculate recommendations based on your new parameters. However, the minimum time for the trip will be 7 days. If you need to get somewhere more urgently, regular search is better for that.
Troubleshooting
What should I do if Dispatch Assistant isn’t showing any loads?
- Please check your internet connection
- Dispatch Assistant will not show you loads if you are further than 72 hours from dropping off a current load
- If you’ve set a target destination & date, try a later date or a different destination
Will Dispatch Assistant work if I'm in an area with poor internet connection?
Dispatch Assistant requires an internet connection to provide recommendations. However, once loads are loaded, you can still view them even with a weak connection.
Getting the Most from Dispatch Assistant
How can I make sure I’m getting the best recommendations?
Check recommendations regularly, as new loads are added frequently and use the Navigate to Destination feature for longer-term planning
Does Dispatch Assistant consider my hours of service?
Currently, Dispatch Assistant provides recommendations based on location and earnings potential. You should always verify that suggested loads fit within your available hours of service before booking.
What if there are no results for my chosen destination and date?
This can happen if the destination is challenging to reach within your timeframe. Try:
- Adjusting your target date to give more flexibility
- Selecting a different destination
- Checking back later as new loads become available
What happens if I book multiple loads?
If you have multiple loads booked, Dispatch Assistant will use the final destination of your last booked load as the starting point for new recommendations. If you're using Navigate to Destination, it will continue planning from there to your target destination.
Can I save loads recommended by Dispatch Assistant for later?
Yes, you can save any recommended loads to review later, just like with the regular load search.
