We completely understand that these things happen. While we aren't able to put your account or deduction charges on "pause" while you are away, there are ways to help you minimize expenses, depending on the situation and the length of time.
How Long Will You Be Gone?
This is the most important question in determining the course of action.
If you expect to be away for less than 30 days, please jump to the sections below starting with Trailer Rentals to understand what to expect during your leave.
If you expect to be away for 30-45 days, we recommend that you request to offboard after you've completed your final load, and plan to re-onboard. Feel free to put in the request in advance to our support team, letting us know your plans. This way, you will avoid being charged for expenses while gone, and we will welcome you back.
If you choose to stay onboard while you are away, please make sure to communicate your plans to us by messaging us in the app. When you do, please confirm that you understand you will be responsible for paying off your weekly service charges during this time.
If you expect to be away for 45 or more days, you must request to offboard for the length of your leave. We will be happy to help you to re-apply and re-onboard you once you are ready. To do so, please message us in the CloudTrucks app.
Trailer Rentals:
Do you rent a trailer from us? The biggest weekly expense is luckily also the one you have control over.
If you are leasing a trailer through CloudTrucks, please reach out to the Trailers team to discuss returning your trailer while you are away. They can help navigate what options make sense to eliminate what you are charged for while you are out, and what to expect when you are ready to pick up another trailer when you come back.
To reach out, message the trailer team in the CloudTrucks app.
All Other Deduction Expenses:
For all other deductions you may be charged for while you are out, such as for plates or insurance, you’ll still be responsible for those costs, as we cover the expense of these services and programs upfront regardless.
Please check out this article on how to 'make payment' in the app so that your balances don't grow.
