A lumper is a third-party laborer hired to load or unload cargo at a warehouse. Payment is typically made via a lumper code.
When a load is booked, CloudTrucks will automatically detect if a lumper is required at the delivery location, and if that location accepts payment via our partner Relay.
If so, we’ll automatically generate a lumper code you can use to pay once the load is in progress.
Where do I find the code?
Open up the load details in the CloudTrucks app, then click into the stop details to view the code.
How do I pay?
Once you arrive at the delivery location, let the lumper company know you’re using Relay to pay and give them the code.
When will the code be available?
The lumper code will be available after your load is marked in progress, and will expire 72 hours after the scheduled delivery.
What if I need a lumper but don’t see a code in the app?
You can request a lumper code through the CloudTrucks app, or submit a receipt for reimbursement. From the stop details page, tap ‘Request assistance’ under ‘Lumper code.’
