This is a new feature in the CloudTrucks app. For now, access is limited primarily to truck owners in the
Silver, Gold or Platinum fleet tiers. We hope to roll it out across the fleet soon.
You can now "post your truck" within the CloudTrucks app for brokers from DAT to call you about loads they need covered urgently. Brokers calling you may be more willing to negotiate with you to ensure the load gets delivered on time. This is an excellent way to boost your average rate per mile, increase your revenue, and widen the load options available to you.
Here's what to do to start receiving these load opportunities:
- On the home screen of the CloudTrucks app, tap on your circled initials in the top left corner of the screen. Then tap on Settings, which is found at the bottom of the menu.
- Review your Driver Preferences settings by tapping on the small grey pencil icon to edit. When a brokers needs a load covered that will either start near your current location or the location of your upcoming delivery, and that load matches your other driver preferences, they will call you.
- The more states you’re open to operate in, and the more open you are to all lengths of haul, the more offers you’ll receive.
- If you ever find you receive calls for loads that run in states you don't operate, or are a length of haul you aren't interested in, come back to this screen to make updates.
- Toggle on ‘Share your availability with brokers’. You can toggle it off to turn off at any time.
- Important last step! When you receive a call from a broker through this tool, the phone number will always come in from (231) 251-2138. Save this number in your phone's contacts as, for example, "CloudTrucks Post-A-Truck Broker" so you are prepared to receive their calls.
Once you’ve opted in, be on the lookout for calls or emails from brokers. Always verify the load details and negotiate the rate to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Check out our tips for handling load offers here.
After you book a load, create an external booking on the CloudTrucks app and ask the broker to send the rate confirmation to rates@cloudtrucks.com.
